Australian solar car spin-off
Clenergy Team Arrow, one of Australia’s most successful solar electric racing teams has invented a specialist, high powered, ultra-light lithium battery power pack for use in cars competing in the Bridgestone World Solar Car Challenge. The aim is to deliver a practical battery system for use in the 3000 km race, with a view that it could make its way into the mainstream.
Prohelion, which is a spin-off commercial arm of Clenergy Team Arrow, developed the battery pack to provide optimum power to the racing vehicles.
You can read more about the battery technology on the Clenergy Team Arrow website.
The 2019 Bridgestone World Solar Car Challenge is a solar car race from Darwin to Adelaide in October.
