Term 4 week 4 – Associate Professor James Shine
Change of mind to change the brain
Looking into the brain with A/Prof James (Mac) Shine
Thursday 27 Oct 2022, 2.00pm-3.00pm AEDST
Mac Shine is a medical doctor, turned neuroscientist. He was fascinated by understanding how the brain worked, so he went back to university and studied to become a scientist. Since then, he uses functional brain imaging to try to understand how the collective action of the billions of neurons in our brains and the trillions of connections between them give rise to our thoughts, feelings and actions.
Join us to hear about Mac’s journey from doctor to neuroscientist.
Registrants will be sent a links and a worksheet related to the research prior to the session. Each session will include time for Q and A.
