Beyond the Lab is a webinar series for students in years 8 to 12 around Australia in which IMNIS Catalysts will share their non-traditional STEM Career Journeys.
Join IMNIS Catalysts Dr Lauren Jones and Winter Okoth as they discuss their career journeys and their life Beyond The Lab.
Lauren is a cell biologist working at the Flinders Health and Medical Research Institute in Adelaide. Lauren investigates the role of gut serotonin in the gut-brain axis and mental health.
Winter is a third year PhD student in the Laboratory of Vaccines for the Developing World at the Institute for Glycomics, Griffith University. Winter is passionate about the the fight against malaria though research and advocacy and her research focuses of development of a malaria vaccine.
