Ecolinc – Women in STEM Program

Ecolinc – Women in STEM Program

Each year Ecolinc runs 2 Women in STEM programs for Year 9/10 girls, one in June and one in October.  This year more than ever it is so important that our emerging STEM leaders have the opportunity of hearing and learning from existing women in the STEM field.  Ecolinc is putting a call out for anyone who would like to participate in the STEM speed dating session on  11 October 2021.

For those that haven’t participated previously, the aim of the program is to inspire young girls to think about pursuing career paths in the STEM area, to broaden students minds about what is possible in the way of opportunities for women and for the students to listen to wonderful female role models about their career journey stories.

They need approx. 25- 30 speed daters from 12.00pm – 3.00pm.

Venue: Ecolinc in Bacchus Marsh, Victoria.

The session runs for about an hour.  A small group of students will meet with you and listen to your career journey for about 10 mins, they then rotate and you will have another small group of girls, and this is repeated 6 times over the course of the hour.

They will also be hold a speed dater network mingle with the students after the speed dating for about ½ hour.

Please let Linda Flynn (Linda.Flynn@education.vic.gov.au)  know if you are able for Monday 11th October.
