Camberwell Grammar School in Melbourne recently installed a 862 kW solar power system. It was installed by Gippsland Solar who report that it is the largest solar project for any school in Australia. Camberwell Grammar were one of the first to use STELR as they were a ‘proof-of-concept’ school in 2008. As a proof-of-concept school, they received a roof-top wind turbine and a single solar panel which charged batteries to operate a refrigerator.
